Sharing best practice across the sector

Alan Shanley, marketing and communications officer, takes a look at a brand new publication sharing best practice lessons gathered from across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
Our new best practice in housing compendium is ready for you to download!
Following the success of our annual housing awards back in February, here at CIH we decided that, rather than let the awards come and go until the same time next year, it would be beneficial for all concerned to have a best practice resource guide that could be accessed time and time again.
Let’s face it, housing is a multi-faceted industry made up of many different types of organisations, all working in very different areas of the industry across the length and breadth of Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. And that’s why it can be all too easy to forget the many great projects - physical, structural and social - that are helping to improve housing and in the process, make society fairer, more just, and better.
Once again, we are indebted to everyone who submitted an application for our housing awards back in February; without the many applications we received across the different award categories, we could not have enjoyed such a successful awards event, or indeed this handy best practice guide.
PS - one final thing! Best practice examples are designed to help everyone to be inspired to become better, no matter what the project might be. As a result, this document is better and more effective when it is shared amongst as many housing professionals as possible, starting with you!
